Vision
Cultivating Growth envisions a society where everyone has equitable access to an intentional and compassionate network of organizations, government entities, and community groups that are well-prepared to support them in meeting their needs and goals. The social, economic, and political systems that shape our communities are fair, accessible, equitable, and responsive.
Cultivating Growth works collaboratively throughout these systems with those who share our values and vision for our communities. Using a strengths-based approach and a dynamic set of tools, we dismantle what is oppressive and grow what is just and equitable, always collaboratively, always compassionately, and always with courage. We help expand the network of leaders who embody our rich diversity and have the skills and support needed to make and sustain real change. We embrace learning and continuous improvement and we support each other in our individual and collective growth.

Ensure process and outcomes center multiple perspectives, especially from marginalized groups, with a focus on removing barriers to full, authentic participation. Use accessible and inclusive language rather than jargon. Center individual and shared humanity and be willing to shift plans accordingly.

Each partner and project is unique, so the process Cultivating Growth follows is highly adaptable but follows this general path:
Before
- Understanding the context, stakeholders, and goals – This includes asking lots of questions and identifying strengths and opportunities for growth.
- Creating a scope of work collaboratively – We won’t move forward until everyone is happy with the plan and understands expectations.
During
- Regular check-ins to make sure we’re all on the same page, including an openness to shifting the plan if everyone agrees it’s necessary and valuable for the project.
- Ensuring all objectives and deliverables are achieved, shared, and well-documented.
- Meeting to review the project, including seeking feedback on Cultivating Growth’s process and outcomes to continue learning and growing.
After
- Closing out the project, including sharing all project materials, final reports and assets.
- Following up to check on medium- and long-term impact.
- Hopefully finding other opportunities to work together.
